Anyone hear anything from your SR?  Love to hear what's been happening, but not surprised that I haven't heard anything.  I leave a week from today and I am getting psyched.  My boys and I have a 20ish hour car trip so I'm praying for all the snow to be gone.

KDB1, so sorry for your loss! You are an extraordinary woman to take on such a heavy burden so your son is at peace during this difficult time at boot camp.

My husband is going to Pensacola because he will be in Aviation too. I haven't gotten any details about when their leaving from GL or anything though. He did tell me his A School was only 2 weeks? I thought that was strange and maybe he was confused? Not sure, he said last Wednesday that when he got off the phone he was getting his orders so I should know in the next few days what's going on when I receive a letter from him. So glad we're down to 10 days. It's so crazy because in the middle of December I wasn't sure if I was going to make it through without going absolutely CRAZY! LOL!

And as for keeping this group open, I was the one who made it and I will definitely keep it open so we can all stay in touch!

It's mighty cold here in Austin, TX.  It was 75 yesterday and 28 now. It's just preparing us for the trip to GL next week.  I pray that all the families this week make it to GL for their PIR and that the roads and airports are clear next week.  9 days to go!  :)

thanks texasmom...I appreciate all the thoughts and prayers.

I am getting very excited about seeing my SR!  Can't believe it is only a short while before we get the "I am a SAILOR" call!

KDB: So sorry, my prayers are with you and your family.  It is such a difficult time and doubly hard since your son wasn't there.  Pretty soon we will be able to get our hugs from our SRs.

Thanks MaGil....I believe he is no longer suffering and in a much better place.  I know he is looking down on my SR.  Thank you for your thoughts.

KDB1 So sorry to hear about loss. But I honestly believe those that have left this Earth before us are in a place so much beautiful then we could ever imagine. May he R.I.P. and watch over your son as he takes this big leap in life.
