I just a call from my boy too. Yeah!  He is doing great and said that the division has earned a lot of flags.  He earned marksman in shooting and really liked both the shooting and marlinspike.  He said that he had gotten in mild trouble when during his watch he kneeled down and adjusted his boot, so he has the midnight watch for the rest of boot camp.  He now has a cold or something (didn't sound too bad), but he said that they got their pb shot today which ought to kill everything off.  LOL.

He also is very excited about the PIR and wants to take a long hot shower and he definitely wants me to bring some boxers for him to wear while in the hotel.  I'm not sure what they wear there, but they are not comfortable.

He also mentioned that they started with 14 nukes with contracts and now they are down to 10.  He thinks the first 3 were medical, not sure on the latest, the last one just lost his contract.

Wow that is great news.  I will keep my phone with me at all times just in case he calls.  Nothing so far.  I'm glad the division has earned some flags, I was worried when they were having such a hard time coming together.

Good afternoon Division 071  Moms & Dads, thanks for the updates emlovee.  They call hanging threads on a Navy uniform an Irish Pennant haha, I can laugh at that one because I am part Irish myself.   It is just ridiculous some immature kids are still acting up like they are in junior high school.    People like that will "get theirs" in the fleet though, so they are not doing themselves any favors now.   I wrote my son and said don't bother writing LOL he made it this far without letters no need to write now.   But, please write to Grandma.   They are so close to graduation now it will be over in a matter of days.   By the time the letter got to him even if he wrote back it would already be PIR by the time I got his letter haha.

2 letters today, i didnt get much info for the whole div except he said that battlestations is the week of pir, he said they had the gas chamber on the 28th, they had test 2 on the 24th,

otherwise he is in good spirits, the div is pretty much pulled together except for those few guys who act out on purpose, but he said all the guys are just taking the punishment now and not letting it discourage them since this will be over soon. he got his dress whites and blues, he said he likes the whites best and he has to "cut clippings of thread" off of them so he told me to tell his grandma because she would be proud haha.

Hope the mailman brings some letters today to us all.  I would love to hear how hell week went and their battlestations date.  Got to go shopping this week for some cold weather clothes for my boys and I.  Here in Austin, Texas we don't have anything but light weight jackets.  Some years we may not even get below freezing.  I'm hoping Chicago will have a warm spell.
