Hi yall!  We received another letter today, I'm guessing that my ex didn't check the mail yesterday.  He said that they now have mandatory letter writing on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  They get a half day on Monday for MLK day and looking forward to a day more to prepare for hell week.  He was definitely more positive but claims/laughingly that he is almost OCD paying attention to detail.  A big, big change for him.

The nukes had their meeting where they could put in their preferences on rating.  He requested EM followed by ET.  Not sure of the differences.  Both his dad and I are EE so it's not surprising that he went that route instead of mechanical I guess.  He also they were asked for their preferences of sub versus aircraft carriers.  He chose ships because of the ports of call.  Who knows what he will get though.  He also said that they could change later.

He also said that he was leaving for A school in GC on Tuesday around 4am.  He also said that they couldn't bring anything back to his RTC so we probably won't bring his stuff there.  Even if we left it in lock and go, I'm not sure he would be able to get it out.  Hopefully all the nukes will get the weekend at GL.  No Grab and Go's.  He also mentioned that it is up to the RDC's whether they give them overnight liberty.  I am not counting on that.

They also got new uniforms and another haircut.

Hope everyone else got an extra letter this week.  If not we will have to wait till Tuesday.

found a lost letter today,

this one he sounded exhausted, and kind of scared of how hell week starts on the 18th, he said now they start marching 4-6 miles a day, and he added that they will get extra on that for all the guys who dont take it seriously :/.

it was one of those letters that u DONT like getting because they sound so sad. but im hopeing the kids who are acting out finnaly realize that they are so close to the end that they should just do good to get this over with!

Just a reminder no mail Monday. Our letters may come later as Monday is normally when they mail them out. Only 4 more weeks!

Congrats SailorsWife - it is ALWAYS nice to be remebered.  You have a very sweet husband!  Its the little things that you will remember the most.  I'm sure you will wear the necklace for many years to come! :)  I still wear one that my husband gave me when we were dating(over 26 years ago)! :)
