Hi everyone, Just getting home from work.  No mail today! :(  Maybe tomorrow :)  My husband and I are going to PIR.  He travels a lot to Chicago so we will be staying at a hotel he can get a free night.  He is going to schedule work around PIR so he can write off his ticket and I am using a companion fare tix.  I ordered ribbons from LaLa the Ribbon lady.  I am not sure about the scarf. I don't sew so I will see what I can come up with! :)

Hang in their ladies...our time is coming!  Hope we all here something soon! :)

Good morning everyone!  I'm staying at the Residence Inn in Waukegan.

I'm probably going to do the same as SailorsWife, intertwining the two colors.  What a great idea!  I just couldn't make a scarf with both colors, not the best combination.  This way I can wear them seperately afterwards.  Many people are also doing the ribbons which I will probably do.  It could go in the scrap book.

I'll probably rent a car if I fly.  I haven't really seen Chicago so I want to do sightseeing while I'm there.   It also depends how much time my boy has before he flys out to SC.  Hopefully he doesn't fly out Saturday morning, that would be a disappointment.  36 day, yeah!

I'm staying at the Navy Lodge. And I'm wearing a yellow scarf to represent N4M's and a pink scarf intertwined to represent our ship/division!

Ok, on a brighter note.... 36 days!  Anyone going to graduation?  I am for sure!  I found a good rate at the Holiday Inn Express _ Waukegan -- will be taking an airport shuttle... anyone else?  Anyone else staying close by?

I also wondered if our little group of moms and wifes could wear something so that everyone knows we are from the same ship/div #... any ideas?

Texasmom, I know their probably not nice but it's great thinking that they are! LOL!

Josh'smom, Happy Birthday a few hours early! Hopefully you'll get a call or at least a letter tomorrow!!

I have no idea what week we are in, I try to keep up with the PIR page but I'm not on it all day. I'm lucky to check it twice a day and even than I have 8 pages to read through. I know they don't count the first week because of processing. But Idk what day their on now than. All I know is this is the 3rd Tuesday, and we're in week 4 of them being gone! And February 11th can't come soon enough!

If there was a problem with our SR I'm pretty sure they'd call us. I really would hope so at least!

Josh's Mom, can you see the page numbers at the bottom?  There are 3 pages of comments now, you should be able to go back to the other posts that way.  It was mentioned that the division was loosing the number of SR's in it... went from 78 to 62 I think... she said her son said some were taken out in stretchers, one hurt his leg jumping from the bunk, and some were taken to psych as well.  All sounds pretty scary, sure would be nice to get a call...  I would think this would be the 3rd Tuesday, maybe they don't count that first week as they are processing...

my son called his girlfriend sometime soon after he got to BC.  I got the Im here call.  We have not gotten any letters.  I guess the GF is more important! :)  I wasn't expecting anything when he left for BC so I guess I shouldn't be dissapointed! :)  Anything I get will be a bonus!  I'll keep my hopes up though! :)  37 more days! :)

We have not got a phone call yet, except the "I am here" phone call on Monday when he left. When you say the first Sunday are you talking about the 19th? I wonder if our sons are in a different section in the division since we did not get a phone call. I am hoping since we got letters last Wednesday that we get one tomorrow. The whole unknown of everything is the hardest!

We should have a big birthday celebration!  My son turns 20 on 2-17-11!  No mail, no call!  Would love to be a fly on the wall at BC! :)

Have a great rest of the week!
