While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Comment by NavyPops_Ship09 on February 8, 2011 at 7:55pm: Hey Texasmom, The mideveil show and dinner consist of a live show featuring jousting,sword fights some pyrotechnic special effects usually with a fantasy/mystical storyline "think camelot". The show is usually very well performed and the audience is kept envolved as you will be routing for your flag "team" to win. The food is.. well... its a bowl of chicken broth, "no spoon as to keep with the times" a roasted cornish game hen, a roll and i think some kind of potato... no silverware... again keeping wit the midage theme. Although not facy by any means the meal is tasty and when you figure in the fact that you get a show and dinner, not a bad value. I would recomend it to anyone who has never been. You may or may not wish to go back for seconds. oh yes.. the drink is standard fare. sodas and i believe mixed drinks.
