I got a phone call today! It was around 2pm est. I knew it was him. He called my cell phone. The connection was not good. I could barely hear him. He sounded great! We both had so much to say but didn't know where to start. He said he did not call on the 11th as planned because he had watch duty. He had an hour phone call but there were three recruits and one phone. He said they each took 20 minutes. It was great to hear his voice. He sounded good. He said they get mail call every day but only get to send letters on Sunday. He tries to write as much as possible and shove it all into one envelope. We also got letters today. He did say they were a chatty group and got IT a lot. He has never gotten individual IT though and has passed all of his inspections! The call was so short but if it had been any longer I probably would have gotten emotional so it is good it ended when it did. I was just glad to hear he was well and happy! Can't wait until PIR in Feb!!
Casey also sounded so much more prepaired for life talking about her checking accounts and she is now taking vet school because it is a more realistic career choice with better out look for jobs. She did say alot do not stop talking when told to so they get IT alot. So I think that is alot of the problem. Casey said she has only been in the pool 1 time so far. She is not as good with swimming but great on the running and working out. So she will have to spend a little more time at the pool when given a chance. She did say they where starting on gunnery which she was really looking forward too. She also could not wait for the firefighting. For got to ask if the had done it yet. My letters did not come till Thursday last week. So I will be going to the post office at lunch again.
