Zachsmom, I hope your call comes today, I know some did not call cause they were practicing swimming, They got to call in the evening time after 4 pm est. IT is intensive training like constant pushup, sit ups jumping jacks burpees ect because of talking ect, as far as carrying the packs I think its because it was too heavy to car in the snow with marching and they didn't want to get into anymore trouble so thats why he was carrying the packs. I wished I had more time to ask questions so I am not confused. He sounded happy and sounded so different, like an adult. He had a cold, the sniffles, said it has been snowing like crazy

So glad you got a call today jennyd and bendebhartner!! I heard a couple others did too!! What is IT? I keep waiting for a call but it never comes. Wonder if they have to earn a call or how it works that they get to call. My son said their group did get in trouble a lot for being chatty and doing dumb stuff but they seemed to be getting better. Seems the SR's should have to carry their own packs doesn't it? I can't wait to hear all the details. Sounds like Kyle is doing so well!!

So, grad and go's are those leaving for school? I though my son was a grad and go but he is staying for A school in Great Lakes. I may be mistaken. Really I don't know a thing! LOL

I'm hoping for more letters this week and a call!! My fingers are crossed. He'll probably call Thursday or Friday night as I won't be home at all. If he does call, he'll get to talk to his brothers so I can get details from them. I hope I'm home when he calls!!

got a call from Kyle about 4pm today, I haven't heard from him in 4 weeks, letters or call so I was so excited to hear from him!  he is the troup line leader and he gets about 4 hrs sleep a night, has to carry packs for 2 people cause it was to heavy for them to carry when they march. He says they have alot of talkers in their crew, and are getting into trouble alot of chatting. said everyday they have someone go to the infirmary cause of IT, He sounded great, very upbeat and happy he did it! I hope the rest of you got to talk to your recruits!

My son wants FC. He is really excited about school! I bet you are really excited to see your husband in February!! March isn't too far away either. At least it will be warm in Great Lakes while you are there. For the most part anyway. :)

I hope they do get their letters today and I'm hoping for more letters from him this week. A phone call would be great too!! I'm waiting to hear his voice!

Where are you staying when you go to PIR?
