No we dont have any kids yet we want to wait for him to get done with school. He is eiter going for FC or ET he really wants ET. We will be stationed in GL for his school for 27 weeks as well so i get to move up there in march but he wont be able to live with me until his 30 day probation is up. Thats just what his recruiter said. I hope they did get more letters today!

mylnn2, my son is going to school for AECF(advanced electronics computer field). I'm sure your husband knows how much he is loved and missed!!! Still, it's good for him to get letters to read!! Will give him the energy he needs to finish!! Do you have kids? 8 weeks is a long time to be away from him! I'm sure you are excited for PIR!! Will he go to school in GL? For what and for how long. My son's A school is for 27 weeks and then he will go to C school for I don't know how long. I'm hoping they got letters last Sunday and I hope for sure today!!

My son's last letters he wrote were dated the 31st and he said he had not had a mail call yet. I hope he got mail the 2nd. I have sent a ton of letters! He is a grad-n-go because he will stay there for school in Great Lakes. I'm not sure what that means. I suppose we should at least have Friday after PIR with him and Saturday. we are staying at the Homewood Suites. They had the best rate and a room big enough for 6 of us! It will be cramped but we don't usually spend much time in the motel room when we travel and the hotel has a pool so the kids can hang out there. We are booked until Monday but like navymom99 said we can cancel reservations for extra days if we have to.

Has anyone gotten a phone call this weekend? I have not.

My son mentioned there were 86 recruits in his Div.

I hope we all get letters this week!! I can't wait for more!!

Someone post that alot of times the first couple of groups maybe grad and goes because they have had time to get their arangements together so they ship out first. Not sure how true that is but I sure would like to know. the one's staying there you would still have time to spend with them but my daughter will fly out for Missouri so we do not know how long we will have yet. It would be great if she is atleast there till sunday.

my boyfriend is going to school in san antonio, texas so he shouldnt be a grad and go... the only ones that are grad and go's is if their going to a school in great lakes

well i know that my husband is going to school up there too. So after graduation he has to report back to his bunks to get his stuff and go to the new bunks where he will be staying for the first month of school. But that is what his recruiter said, so i cant rely on that.

I am staying at the ramada. I never checked the Navy lodge out. Has anyone heard if they will be grad and goes? I would be nice to know how much time we will have with them. Being the 1st troup in the PIR someone had posted that the first groups usually are. I had asked Casey in one of my letters but i tink it was one of the latest. I am not booking the bus untill I know. The hotel said we could cancel the extra days if she left early.
