Good morning to you all. He wrote to my littlest that he got to carry a gun during watch. He said they have lots of cereal and he likes the Frosted Flakes. He said there is no soda except Diet Coke. He said they have 8-10 minutes to eat and they can't talk and they have to eat it all. He did say there is not a lot of time to write. He said there isn't even a lot of time to think. They do all of that for you. He was issued military id and dog tags the 30th. He liked all the gear and the uniform. He said it all sucked but really it was getting better every day. He said he would rather have his dad yelling at him because the chief was hilarious and scary!
I try to write it all because I know I want to know all I can. I'll post more later if I've left anything out. Got to do Saturday running around with kids! :)
Hope everyone gets their letters today!!! I want to hear more too!
I am so glad you got your letters zacksmom. It is such a weight lifeted knowing they are doing well. I mwant some more dtails also. I did not know about the running in the snow with the weights. Bendebhartner I am sure your letters are coming. Casey said she did not have a lot of time to write. She did say someting about watch which is long and boring. So you do not have time when you have that either. So they are coming. I can not wait till we all get phone calls.
bendebhartner...You will get your letters. Lets hope for tomorrow!! Zack said he did not have a lot of time to write. He said he spent every spare second he had trying to sleep. He did write a lot though. Lots of detail. I try to remember everything to tell all of you. I know you are worried. I felt so much better when I read his letters. Such a weight off my shoulders to know he was fine. He left home with a terrible cough and at least told me he was feeling better. All his letters were post marked Jan. 3.
Can't wait for you to get your letters!!
