Zac wrote that he is a RCPO.  I guess that is a Recruit Command Petty Officer.

He said that he gets to shout commands when they are marching.

I am proud that he is trying so hard to make an extra effort to do well!

Can't wait to see them march into the stadium in their blue uniforms!!!

IT'S GREAT!" haha, i hope he's not bossing around the other SRs too much! lol :) he also says there was a heat wave...? did anybody else get this info., too? "... after that we had a class on seamanship all the way across the base. this is where the heat wave came in. we marched in our full winter gear and since i'm a roadgaurd i had to run to gaurd the road. when we got to the class i was crazy sweaty." haha, it's a bit gross but i thought i'd let everyone else know :)

@ Beth mine said the same thing about the swim thing.  I think they even had a couple to panic in the pool.  So I know what you mean.  So glad to hear you got a letter.  Don't mind if you use my name.   Thanks

Ginger

That is so funny, "G"  Don't know if you want me to use your name?

I got another letter today.  He sounded very positive.  He passed his Swim test!  He was amazed at how many SRs chose the Navy and they can't swim!!

He'll be going to Submarine School!  Don't know if anyone else is???

@Beth my son mentioned the hair cut he said mom they made me pay 6.25 for a hair cut I sat down in the chair he ran the clippers over my head 3 times and told me ok get up because no hair fell.  It was still to short to cut and I still had to pay 6.25 for nothing.  I thought it was so funny!!!  They are teaching them the meaning of the dollar something I could not seem to get though to him....LOL

Well I got 2 more letters today!!  My SR is doing great!  He was really excited about a Marline spike which was a hands on class he said was really fun.  I am not sure if spelling is correct on that my son's hand writing need a lot of work..LOL  He said Friday they were having another PT test and then another PI inspection were they get to stand at attention for 3 hours so he was not looking forward to it.  Other than that he really sounded like he was doing well.  Have a great day!!
