I found on the web information that says: Even if they are staying at Great Lakes in A school, they are still considered grad-n-go. I think I found this on http://www.bootcamp.navy.mil

After graduation, before they get some free time with a family, they need to report to get their new schedule and that may take up to " 5 HOURS OF WAITING?" I also found information that doors are openning at 6:30 A.M., Graduation is aprox. 9:00-9:30 AM!

Does anybody has any idea when and how do we get graduation tickets.?I know that we can download parking passes 11 days before. Thank you all for sharing the information..Bo

I should say their official assignments and jobs for A school.  example:  My son is a Nuke but there are 3 different jobs he has to pick from or get assigned out of that.  I am not sure if I am explaining this correctly.  It was all the stuff for A school.  He also said that is when he would get to ask questions.  So I think he was kind of upset to miss it.  He had all 4 wisdom teeth and 4 back molars.  I was shocked.  He wore braces for 2 years and had 6 teeth pulled before they put them on I never knew the molars needed to come out also.

I got 2 letters today!!!  YEAH!!  He had 8 teeth pulled on Friday.  He is in SIQ (Sick in Quarters) until Tuesday.  He also said they were picking jobs and getting orders on Monday but he would miss that and have to make it up. I was so happy to hear that the teeth pulling went well and he survived....LOL  I can't wait just 28 more days till PIR!!!

That is funny about the burger!  My son asked me if we could go have a Chicago style pizza and a coke after he graduates, lol!

Wow!  You got that letter fast!!!

Sounds like a fun week for a change.

That's funny about the Burger craving!

I wonder what they'll want to eat after PIR?

Glad you got a letter today, Adriana :)

Thanks for the news!

A question are all the SR in Div 135 grad-n-go??  My son said he would be a grad-n-go and would be flying out on Friday or Saturday.  I was just wondering if that is true for all or if anyone has more details.  I am driving about 12 hrs to get there and it breaks my heart to know he is flying out so soon. Especially since he is flying back to within 4 hour of home.
