No call here yet. As hard as it is for us, I can only imagine how hard it is for our SRs who are so homesick by now.

Well we found the letter and have the password.  Thank you.

I would write him a letter and tell him you need the pass and that he can tell you what it is when he makes the I'm a Sailor Call. That way if he doesn't remember it that will give him to time to find out what it is. Then when he calls ask him for the password and print it out before you leave or use a computer and printer at the hotel to print it out. If you don't get, ride the shuttle, you may have to drop your son off at the gate for him to walk back onto base when you return him each evening.

RetiredNavyMom:  Only your SR can give you the password.  So write in a letter or ask your SR when you get the I'm a Sailor call.  If you take the PIR shuttle, you don't need the pass, but you will when you return your SR to RTC and want to drive on the base.  Now, if your SR is moving over to GL A School right after PIR, and you take the shuttle to PIR, you won't need the pass because you won't be returning to RTC.  But it is good to have anyway.

Not sure where I posted the last one, so here goes.  I received a phone call from my son on Saturday - 1 minute and 21 seconds.  He sounded awesome!  My husband and I will be driving to graduation with our three younger children (8, 9 and 1).  I just went to print the parking pass and do not have the password.  The letter was packed - where I do not know.  We are signing on a new home today and packed everything for the move.  I called the public affairs office and they couldn't help us.  I have a base decal as I am retired Navy but they said that will not get us on the base. Can anyone help?
