Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

HAHA, I am rolling on the floor right now! OK, so my baby boy asked me for a snack....well first he asked for fruit snacks, then goldfish! So, I looked at him and said ok, pick one snack you can only have one b/c it's getting close to dinnertime...and this is what he said in reply: OK, how bout 2 fishys mom? LOL the look on his face was so hilarious! He acts so old sometimes, but so serious! Thought ya'll would enjoy this...he's so cute! = )

Karen:that is what I am hoping Matt will do!! I am thinking maybe we can make this a new tradition? LOL Stay in a hotel every new years eve and stay up late watching the ball drop? Maybe! I haven't heard from him :(

OK, at least we know what to expect! And 5-5 is next monday! So, that means I will only get this weeks letter and then one more! But I reckon thats okay! LOL We will get to talk on Dec 23rd(I'm a sailor call) then on Christmas day and then we see him the 30th! So, I guess we can handle that! ONLY 22 DAYS TO GO = )
