Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

it's ok LOL so i am wondering if the 10.98% tax is billed when u get there? maybe? i just dont want to have charges come up that i may forget about...and the more i think about it, im not sure if staying in GL for an extra 5 nights is managable for me and my 2 year old...he likes his bed and it might be hard for him to stay away that long OH i have no idea what we're going to do-i just can't see paying $600.00 for a hotel! I will see what he WANTS us to do, and maybe I could talk him mom or dad goin over to see him for Christmas since they aren't making to PIR??!! I may try to guilt them into that-LOL i just dont want him to be alone :(

so trisha are u already booked at candlewood? b/c when i scrolled down and the website to reserve it stated that the 10.98% tax/night wasn't included in the quote for reservation....it kinda scared me!

i am having to change my plans on staying at candlewood suites b/c apparently they do have a 11%/night added to your bill which makes it NOT cheaper than others, so i am backing up and trying to figure out where to stay! I need shuttle services b/c I will not be renting a car, and would love to be around a wal mart or mall...any suggestions! I tried priceline but i have no idea how to name my own price and u wont know what hotel ur staying at until after u reserve it w/credit card :(

Minerva...Candlewood suites is only $51/night so i may make it work! I am praying that it will all come together :)
