Hey Everyone:

First off will be staying at another hotel but plan to attend any meet&greets planned.

Talked with my son the other day(he needed info for his security clearence so they let him call home) He sounded upbeat and said it was going good and nothing like my NAVY bootcamp experience....lol. He also said they are getting mail regularly now and he promised he had written.

So I guess I hope everyone is now hearing from their Recruit and all is going well with your future sailor.... see everyone on June 17th Tim Eschete

Hi

I have a discussion above called Residence Inn Waukegan PIR 06/17/11

I've been  adding to the list of who I know from our Division that will be staying there.

Let me know if I have missed anyone?

some info on me;

I'm from San Diego, and grew up there as my Dad was stationed there thru out my childhood and into his retirement. I now live in Temecula, which is about 1 hour drive north of SD.  I used to work on the bases down there for SATO and MWR  as well...  and as a young teenager worked at NEX as my Mom retired from there too.

Hi all,

I received some comments from others and it sounds like the flu is going around quite a few have soar throats ect. I guess it is part of the process or way things go with that many people together. I sure would like to get a phone call soon.  I hope you all get letters soon. I would imagine if you haven't you will soon. I hope your sons and daughters are healthy. I am prayign my son is getting better and it's sounds like he will as they finally put him on medicine. Hopefully he can fall in with the rest of the division soon. He will have to work extra hard now...

Hi Mynavyguy-

I'm so sorry to hear this about your SR, I hope he is doing better now.

We still have not received any letters from our Son, I'm looking at it as no news is good news, and have to keep a positive outlook. I know they are all doing their best.

I received 2 letters today... He is finally getting my mail.   Not the best of news. My heart sank when I read his letters and I shed tears of sadness for him. My son has been really sick and was talking he may have to return home early in the first letter as he has been so ill with a terrible respitory infection. He said their division had very bad luck and got one of the three worst RCD's on the entire base.  Second letter states he is feeling better and now has medicine and he is hoping to join his division soon. I hope he is getting better please pray for him to improve and get strong enough to join everyone. Just breaks my heart.
