I thought it would be good to start a sub group for our Div. Since our recruits probably know each other!

A letter in my Hand!
Yeah!!!!

Does anyone have a girl in this group?  Ship 10/ Div. 265?  I was curious if their group is coed?  My mind races with questions that I have no answers for.

When my son, Anthony, left for bootcamp there was one girl in this division.  I believe her last name was Jones.  My husband has been on the navyfordads site and thinks her mom has posted on there, but he's not sure if it's the same person or not.  He flew out of Shreveport, LA.  I just found this site (there's nothing slow about me!) lol  I'm just ready for graduation but it won't be long now!

thx gsskygirl!!  my son is matthew, he flew there from portland, oregon (he said in his letter his bunkmate flew from portland also).  i will be flying in from california (sacramento) with my 18 yr old son.  booked a rental car and am looking at hotels (a little overwhelming as to where to stay!)....looking forward to meeting you all-hoping i will get to the meet and greet!  hugs!!  martha

Our son flew from Portland as well, on 6/22. His name is Anthony. Have not received a letter from him yet :( other than the form letter after his box.  I think we will be staying at the Residence Inn. We have not booked flights or a car yet. Looks like SW airlines is least expensive, and flys into Midway. However they are all expensive ifyou have to get flex or refundable. We are going to wait a few more weeks to make sure our PIR doesn't change, then book non-refundable.  Hopefully we can get to the Ramada for a meet and greet.

hi kathy-that's the same date as my son...hmmmmm, wonder if they are bunkmates?!  i bet you will get a letter monday or early next week!  funny, i almost had a meltdown as i kept seeing all the other moms talking about their letters and me=nothing!  just received mine yesterday.  you will have yours soon i hope!  :)  yes, i think we are flying southwest.  i did hear that about waiting...i haven't paid for our tix yet.  hard to wait, i am SO excited for august 19th LOL!!

Hi Martha,  I was wondering the same thing...about Matthew and Anthony being bunkmates. Did he take his oath on the 22nd at Portland MEPS? I recorded it on my camera and posted it on my Facebook.  We will probably go SW air as well, and fly into Midway. A bit further south from base, and Ohare, but cannot beat the $. I am counting down the days!

hi kathy-YES he did!!  ohhhh, i would love to see that!  i missed it unfortunately!  really wish i had been there.  but i would not miss his graduation for anything!  i am hoping time flies between now and then!!  :)
Hi Ladies - My son also left Portland on the 22nd.  I have some pictures as well and could bring copies to the meet and greet if you would like.

I tried to save the video of the Oath on my page here, but it was too big. It is about 6 minutes long. It's on my facebook though. Search FB for Kathy Pregnall...request to friend me so I know who you are. I will accept and then you can see the video. It's too long to email too :(

Hi Martha! Do you have a facebook? If so, search me:  Kathy Coward Pregnall, and ask to be my friend. You will then be able to see the video!

Kathy
