WOW!  Hi Lori,

My Corpsman son deployed to Helmand in 2011 with the 3/2 Marines and now he's headed back again soon with the 2/8 Marines!!!  He plans to get out and go to college when he gets out next year...I like that!  :-)  Sounds like you've been busy...LOL

Hi Lori, have fun in Japan!  You'll be amazed at how efficient they are.  I visited Tokyo and Osaka several years ago on business and enjoyed it.   I agree with bootcamp being a breeze in hindsight...my son is in Helmand Province Afghanistan out on patrols everyday as a corpsman with the 3/2 Marines.  I'm looking forward to getting him home in the Fall!!!!

Sure has been a busy year! My son, who's a corpsman, is taking a temporary assignment with a marine unit out of Camp LeJeune and is heading to the sandbox early next Spring...guess I'll be on pins and needles and no sleep for several months next year til they safely return! Hope everyone's sailors are doing well!

Hi Lori,
Well, my son completed corpsman school in GL in April then headed to Camp Pendleton to complete FMTB (field medical training) with the marines. He graduated from FMTB this past June and is now stationed back at GL working in one of the clinics there as his first duty station. He's doing well and I'm very proud of him. Best wishes to everyone and their sailors!

It was cold and windy. Had a long lunch at PF Chang's. Let his mom check out the shopping (I never heard of Nordstrom Rack???) while we looked for a laptop. We bought the laptop at an NEX late that afternoon (no sales tax). Left the city late afternoon and headed to the Gurnee Mall for dinner and a quick look. Went back to the mall on Sun.

Lilly, my son was singing the cadences to himself the whole time we were walking around the city of Chicago.

Sue, He went Tuesday night. I watched the phone calls come through last night, but did not get one. I'll be on pins and needles till I hear from him. Thanks for the thoughts prayers.

Still no phone call. How about the rest of 371? I slept, if you can call it that, terrible last night. I'm beginning to get worried. I will have my cell phone ringer on full blast so I'm sure not to miss a call. This is killing me!!!

Does anyone know if there is an order used to make phone calls?? alphabetically???
