Ohhhhh I am SO excited for you guys!!!!!!!!! I didn't get a
call today, I wonder why. I am sure it's a good reason. I haven't heard from his mom either to say that he called them so maybe he called her but nevertheless, this is awesome newsssss!!! I can't believe the girls are cuttin up like that! Lol but they will get it together. Yea when i got all my letters from my husband, all he could talk about was how good the food was! Lol I am so excited for all of us and I am glad we are all here to uplift each other during these very difficult times.

Thank you so much for the warm welcome! I was go excited to get the phone call today! I never dreamed a phone call could bring so much excitement and joy! I was sitting in a restaurant with a friend and when I answered the phone I actually jumped up and squeeled! Totally embarrassed my friend, but don't really care! It was AWSOME!! And thanks for the info on G and G, I was very helpful!

Hey everyone..got a 27 min and 14 second call! My first call..yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh....I feel so good. He said all are doing real well. He said there are some guys who just don't get it cause them all issues and he said the girls have some real issues. The girls laugh at each other, steal brownies, flip each other off (in front of the commander) and this caused them all some extra work but not to bad he said.
AGAIN..lmao..he said the food is good. He knew most your kids (Jason's and Zach he mentioned)...but the issue is that they do not use first names there..only last so it was hard to identify who is who..lol. He said he has heard NOTHING about being a G&G except mention for the kids who are going to A school right there in GL. He sounded sooooooooo good..he said everyone is doing good. Said the guys/gals who had their teeth pulled had some rough days but no one to bad. OMG..I miss him so much. He says he is actually enjoying it. Said if you do what they say..its all good..lol.

Hope some of you guys heard from your Sailors as well. I am in heaven!

Welcome to the group Terrisa!!!! I'm not quite sure how the grad & go works because for different sailors it's different situations. What I can tell you is when my brother graduated back in 2003 he was a grad and go and we actually got to spend that weekend with him after graduation before he lef for A school that Monday. There is some grad and go info on N4M with quite a few discussions. I suggest tryin to search more about it in from the home page and if I find more info I will be happy to share it with you!

I just found this group... My son is Ship 11, Div 002. He is the athletic petty officer. Does anybody know anything about how Grad and Go works?? I got my first phone call on Sunday (we missed the 2 previous ones) and he said he's pretty sure he's going to be grad and go. I'm trying to figure out how to plan.
