Wonder why they go to the airport at 2am for a freakin' 11 or 12 flight. Odd that they even let people in the airport. ;-)

A bit of good news if you don't mind not sleeping after PIR:) Matt said that even though they are going to the airport at 2am, some of their planes might not leave until 11 or 12 in the morning. It just depends on where they are being sent and which plane they find room on. So we're planning an "all-nighter" and spending as much time as possible with him at the airport.
Megan's Mom-thanks for the specifics on the Meet and Greet, I'm looking forward to it!

Hey Megan's Mom, I believe Jason's Wife is correct. My son said both Div 001 and 002, regardless of where your A school is are ALL G&G's. He said something about it being because all their drills s's have Thanksgiving off so all are being sent off. Not sure of the reason of if everyone is really a G&G but my son mentioned that in a phone call two Sunday's ago. I am sad because I was hoping to spend the entire weekend with him but he said he is GLAD to be a G&G and move on to the next stage. He mentioned that all will be taken to the airport at 2am on 11/20 but again..its just what he mentioned. Luckily, I am driving there (its 5 hours away) so I can flex any plans..phew. Oh..he did mention last Sunday that they are working on a 'Watch' schedule and he may not even have all day on Friday, the PIR day but nothing has been decided. He said they assigned them to make the schedule (maybe push the guys who do not have families coming in??) versus having the drill's make the schedule because they were told if the drills make the schedule, it won't be 'pretty'....although I am not sure what that means. I just am PRAYING we can spend some time with my boy after PIR.... I am such a planner that all this Navy stuff is killing me..lol. Breathhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Loretta! 16 days till PIR..woohooo!

Yea my husband is a grad and go as well. If I remember correctly, I think the whole division is but because my husbands A school is in great lakes I think we might have a good chance at spending time with him the whole weekend. He said so far it sounds like he will be able to but we have to wait and see. I will be at the meet and greet on the 18th for sure. Do you know what time it is and where it is at?

My husband will be staying in GL for A school
