I just tetras that and they aren't graduating immediately so I'm not sure I understand.

A "push division" gets through boot camp faster, they get "pushed up" in training by a week or two, graduating immediately after battle stations instead of doing more training. I'm not sure about the details of how it works, but some graduate in 7 weeks instead of the usual 8, or occasional 9 or 10 weeks (for those who were stuck in processing for two weeks

That's what google says. I'm not sure how that connects with someone graduating though.

Yes she attended the capping ceremony. Said she cried thru it. She didn't explain what a push division is but said everyone that was in battlestations will graduate.  Said she was very tired but talked with us on the phone for 50 minutes.

So gitti. . .I guess my SR was one of the 12.  Did your SR get to attend the capping ceremony?  Do you know what a "push" division is?
Comment by Brigitte on January 28, 2011 at 4:57pm
My daughter said 12 in the division didn't pass Battlestations but were still graduating because the are a "push" division.

Okay, so is anyone else in division 60 confused.  My SR just called and said they failed BS.  I asked him if he has to repeat BS, and he said, no.  I asked him if he is still graduating on 2-4-11 and going on to A school, and he said yes.  Then he tried to explain to me that since he scored so high in everything else, BS was only a percentage of his overall grade, so he still made it.  But he did not get to go to the capping ceremoney.  I just don't get it.  I thought this whole deal was black or white.  Help?

I was so unhappy with my husband!  He works nights, and at 4 am this morning my phone went off, he sent me a text he was going out to breakfast when he got off work.  I have been taking it to bed with me because my friend is expecting a baby, and I am going to watch her children while she is at the hospital.
