Just getting caught up on these emails - Yes, you can send polish rags, I finally found them in my grocery store by the sewing stuff and shoe polish - these came in packets of 2 - I took them out, and unfolded them and put them in a regular envelope ( they are about the length of a regular envelope).  He said he got them and it was ok.  I also heard the idea about the large envelope - sent one with $2.92 stamps on it preadressed back to me - thats for 13 oz,  the maximum ounces you can send 1st class mail in a large envelope (folded it and put it into another large envelope to him along with a couple rubber bands and a large ziploc baggie, so he could mail back the mail he wants to save at home, and could keep the rest  neat in the baggie. )    I got 2 letters on Thursday, after the phone call last Wednesday when he was so sick.  I'm hoping for one this Thursday that says he is better, and things are going great.  Going to go pick up the cross he sent back to me to get the clasp fixed, and mail it back to him today.   The missing him part does not get any easier, does it?

I just read on the Colorado page that one of the moms sent larger envelopes addressed back to her with extra postage on them so her recruit could send home all the accumulated mail and cards freeing up some of his/her limited storage space.  I think this is an excellent idea and am mailing one off tomorrow.

I got a letter written on New Years on Wednesday. He sounds great. He is asking for polish rags but I don't know if we dare send them.

My son said one day he got seven letters and some days, none.  I can't believe they have the room or the time to stockpile mail but think it must be a matter of timing between weekends, holidays, and RDC work schedules.  Hopefully, today we get the letters written last Sunday.
