I started a new job last Friday and I've only worked 3 days so far! Looks like I have reinjured a disc and have radiating pain from my butt to my ankle. I left early today to see the doc. Luckily I was home when he called. (he did what I asked & called me before his GF!) I'm having MRI Monday but doc doesn't want me flying 4 hours! Yeah right?!?! I did shorten my trip from 7 days to 3. I might need extra pain meds to be there but I'll make it somehow! I'll miss M&G but I'll see you all there. He also said we could bring as many people as we want if we get there early. Anyone else hear that?

So Lonnie.. my sailor did say that she knows exactly who your son is and that she was surprised he didn't go to ?? what were the intials again?? sooner. But she is glad he will be graduating with the rest of them. She also said that the boy who was next to her in the capping ceremony was crying and it was so "cute" his last name started or sounded like an E. .

@ Holly- I love the "grumpopotimus", how cute is that!

@ Dee- your sailor deserves to relax after a hard day at the office! LOL

Everyone- I am so happy for you guys! Thank you for remembering my son, I know he wanted to be there with them, but I will post as soon as I hear from him on Tuesday! I wouldn't know what to do without you guys, Thank you so much:)

Oh boy, yet another twist on this journey huh ladies. Soo exciting and glad you are still hanging on with us Lonnie.

NavyAunt & Floss: that story is one for the memory books. Made me go Oh my I so know where this story is going.... So Glad that she was able to talk to him!

Holly: Mine had no problem with the phones and probably had her feet propped up on the chairs as she ate her M&M's. Being a big meany to her team..ROFL..

Lady: Yep, my SAILOR will not be here for thanksgiving so I'm so excited to hear more stories of Boot Camp from some of the sailors that were with her.

My Sailor did say that Captains Cup was volunteering. And she hurt her foot and may not participate anyway. she said there is someone that can do 101 push-ups in a certain amount of time!

Did everyone get their call from their Sailors? CONGRATULATIONS to all!!

Navynaunt1- thanks for the update on Floss. So glad she got a chance to talk to her sailor and look forward to hearing more from her.

Dee- looks like one more for Thanksgiving dinner ;-)

Holly- he must have used the same three phones that my sailor used...I almost had a break down at work when she called and the phone wouldn't work!! But she kept trying until she found one that works.

Moms...thank you for all of your support!! God bless you all!! I am so grateful that I didn't have to go through this alone!

Floss asked that I post this for her since she is off grid traveling tonight.
Admiral Floss got her call, but the story that goes with it is one for the books. As we all know today was THE DAY for our phones. That being said Floss instructed all family not to call her cell so the line would be free for “the call”. But still by 4pm Floss had not received a call…or so she thought.

She was on the way to my house and had her phone in her lap so that she could quickly answer when it rang. While driving she happened to look down and saw that she missed not only 1 call but 5!!! - 2 from her SAILOR and 3 from her husband. She almost ran off the road she was so upset!

Unbeknownst to Floss her husband had just called me to find out if I knew where she was because their SAILOR was trying to call her! I told him that if she was not answering, it could only mean a couple of things…either she was dead, they were rioting at the jail (she is the head nurse at our county jail), or her phone wasn’t working for some stupid reason.

It turned out that somehow her phone got put on silent mode…no ring, no vibration.

The good news is she did get to talk her SAILOR and he sounded great. Although he used most of his phone time trying to find a phone that the speaker worked so he didn’t get to talk to her for very long, but he did get to talk to his dad some. It looks like his orders have changed and he is no longer an AO, but listed as unassigned. He is to spend 40 days at Great Lakes and then he has a short leave and then off to San Diego in Dec.

I’m sure as soon as Floss can get to a computer tomorrow she will post the rest of the story.

Congrats to DIV 365!!!! Now onto the Captain’s Cup….this div is awesome, nothing can stop them.

Okay, so I'm settled in for a long night of dispatching so guess I can start my probably many posts of the evening.

So my SAILOR calls and say "hi mom guess what I'm doing? I'm drinking a Rock Star and eating a Kit Kat and by the way, I'm an Official United States Sailor". I just BURSTED in tears. We talked for at least 15 minutes and it seemed like the worlds problems were lifted off her shoulders.
