And remember ladies, keep the cards (letters maybe not so much because they have no time to read this week) going. Was told by "someone" that the mail stops after all PIR div are done with BS. My last card I'm sending out on Thursday. If it gets there it gets there if not, not a big deal. I've sent the funny ones and meaningful ones already, with the best one going out today. And GREAT, now I'm crying again.. LOL

Weather: COLD!!!!! Not so much wind. Was beautiful Sat w/61 degrees. Back down to 38 last night @ 7pm!

Just finish washing my recruit's car and it looked like her room!! LOL! Now on my way to the church to pass out candy and run the "cake walk" had to check in first.

Captain's Cup- I thought I was competitive but man. I will "quietly" know that 365 rocks!! The "proof will be in the pudding!"

Angie welcome to the group. The is a great group of women....the best from PIR 11/12 (however, I am a little bias :-))

Let me clarify - Frishes Big Boy is a restraurant. But I'm sure we will be surrounded by BUFF big boys lol!
Dee- intelligence and common sense don't always go hand and hand.

We are so CLOSE!! I hope we get THE CALL this week.

I'm over at my sisters passing out candy. Since we live in the country and don't get any trick or treater, I go over to my sister's house to get my tricker treater fix.

I am doing various things around the house today, and of course answering the doors for the little trick or treaters and have to admit, I can't wait to jump back on and see what else everyone has posted. Thanks for the clock update Holly, I had to keep minusing hours because I personally was going off 9am Friday.

And hello 365 ladies.. didn't everyone get the 365 Rocks! Foam fingers?? LOL.. It's interesting though how sometimes people miss the humor in typing that you usually get from speech on the PIR 11.12.10 forum.

And Jordan, I doubt if there won't be any other "hey I'm still here" calls though. We have to just take a deep breath ladies and know that the next call will be THE CALL! So make sure cell phones are charged and on you at all times. Even into the bathroom! Hubby thinks its hilarous because before my recruit left there were many, many times that he couldn't get ahold of me because I forgot my phone. LOL

And Lady... strange how life pushes people into eachothers path huh.. :o) .

Dee- LMBO! "Surrounded by testorone"....guy in the Army (I didn't want to laugh but....) and the girl at the party= Duh! And I think we would have been friends for a long time even if our daughter's weren't and YES, apparently you can't take the girl out of the Sailor...lol.

I believe it's Holly with the two boys in service and yes, HOLLY, I too thank you the service of your sons and for your wisdom that you share with us!

Amen Holly. And it's true, sometimes our need to learn and becoming more educated should come from the experience of listening and asking questions to others rather than from the books.

Okay, so went to a house Halloween party last night. One of the woman asked, now mind you she is in her late 20's and well-educated. She asks "where is XXXXXXX?" and I answer "she is in her Basic Training for the US Navy". She says "sure I remember you saying that, how long again is that?" I answer. "8 weeks, she graduates in 2 weeks". Her answer....

"Oh that's nothing, I have classes that are longer than that. And they actually get paid for that?".

I wanted to take my bottle of beer and throw it at her. . See Kelly, some people, that ultimately our kids are representing, have no idea when to keep their comments and opinions to themselves.

Good morning ladies... I have a comment that will tick you ALL off, something that was said to me last night... BUT 1st rebuttals.

Kelly: we don't bite and although we all want to have our hair, nails and clothes perfect and don't want any of the moms to see what messes we REALLY are that Thursday, the M&G is our real hugs and tears and "darn your a great mom" moment instead of it remaining virtual. Please join us, heck, I'll buy you your 1st drink and even your 2nd. Even if it ain't a coke. (Heck I'm going to need a whole bottle of Merlot that night just to try to fall asleep!). And as for the gas chamber. All military does it and YES Floss, it IS the exact same thing our police forces partake in. But ask any cop or military person and no one gets hurt unless THEY cause something. Cause in point. Guy I work w/..Army. They had to stay in there for 10-12 sec. when the timer went off he ran for the exit door right into the outside pole. Broke his nose. Says it was and is a great story and he graduated with black eyes. Got lots of attention on graduation day. LOL.. But that's the Army.. this is the Navy. (just for fun trash talk that our Sailors will be doing for the rest of their careers). :O)

Kelly: I knew this was your 2nd time around but never knew it was JUST LAST YEAR! thank you for being here giving us newbies your insight on what to expect. I admire you for being able to have both your sons representing the U.S.A. Thank you.. (extended my hand for a handshake of admiration for a job well done)

Lady: I have a feeling, that you and I are going to be friends for many years to come. My recruit calls your daughter by her 1st name and says she has been lucky to have her around. Guess mine shared her shampoo and yours is sharing her straightener. Can't take the girl our of the Sailor now can you. :O)

Floss: big boys? As in I am going to be surrounded by testrone in close quarters all weekend w/hubby, 21yr old, 17yr old? Maybe I'll stay at the Ramada after all.. ROFL. And Floss, i agree with the whole muffin top with the girls. for some young girls it is just not flattering wearing the low pants and tight shirts. And yes, you DID give yourself away on age with one word. "preppy". LOL

I'll cover that last nights comment in another post...
OMG.. WE ARE GETTING CLOSE!
