Dee- I read about the storm this morning on the internet. I am glad you are ok and I was wondering how our recruits were doing after the storm and thanks for letting us know about that as well.

I didn't get any letters today but they usually don't come until Thursday. You ladies are so right about missing and appreciating them now. My daughter's room is still messy and maybe that's why I haven't cleaned it yet...lol.

As far as Battlestations, I also heard that division 365 and "brother" division 366 will probably go first and then the next two divisions and so on.

Dee- thanks for the update. Your daughter is wayyy more informative in her letters than mine is...lol...I think she doesn't like to write so much, she would rather talk or text...lol.

I'm sorry Jordan.. didn't mean to sound confusing. My recruit said that her division has not gotten orders if they are or are not Grad and Go yet.

oh forgot another funny. As I have now read her two letters 4x! She said they are ALL getting sick of being called recruits or female or male. She said many of them want to start wearing a name tag because they miss being called their names. Kinda goes back to our earlier posts about appreciating our kids bad habits. Bet they miss getting their name yelled from the bottom of the stairs "xxxxxx why the heck didn't you do the dishes or clean your room or take the dogs out??"

@ Kelly I read that Battlestations starts at I think around 8pm and lasts for about 12 hours.
@ Dee I have seen my cousin's BC "yearbook" and it was really neat! It shows from beginning to end of BC and has pics of the RDC's and Recruits, it was really nice:)

Letters coming home ladies!!!! Now what we need to do is recap some of the stuff from their letters on here so as we can hopefully put a nice puzzle together of what their last 3 weeks are like. So here is mine. Hope this helps

They are getting anxious and lots of the recruits are feeling nervous about being on their own and their emotions/actions are showing it. She says it's like HS because there is a yearbook and pics and division t-shirts and graduation practice. She says there is less time to write because of the above and that EVERYTHING is now intense.

My letter was dated Oct 24 and she said they are in the last two weeks of training and than one week of preparing for graduation and cleaning everything for the next division. She said "this week is the gas chamber and than shortly after is firefighting. All that's left after that is the wonderful Battlestations"

She did throw in a funny and commented about when they have 2 hour watch in the middle of the night how they get to see who sleepwalks, who doesn't iron and who talks in their sleep. She also said because of the way they eat, don't be surprised if they don't look as skinny as we would have thought. They just are now "fit and healthy". She said she will miss many of the other recruits she has been living with and training with and hopes to find them on FB in the future.

Oh and they have not gotten their orders on who is Grad N Go in this division.

@ kelly and dee I asked my cousin who graduated BC on 9/2/10 and she said Battlestations 21 was about 3 or 4 days before graduation and she got to call home at 2pm in the afternoon, my aunt said she never called home in the evening, if that helps any:)

can't find the link on how to send the recruits their contacts for PIR.

Sorry Kelly... I can't figure out from all the different postings on when ours will be going to BS. I figured Mon & Tues. but that is a guessamit.

Hi ladies.. now why didn't someone just ask little old me.. :O) Yes, we have had high winds but nothing different than what we usually get at the start of our winter season. Although, it is getting worse as I type, and they do say that the worst is yet to come, nothing out of the ordinary is happening in the north part of Chicago, aka Great Lakes. But did you know, Chicago is not named The Windy City for this kind of weather. It is after our great, politicians.
