Has anyone heard how our kids have faired from the storm that came through? Did the base suffer any damage or anything? I heard they had hurricane strenght winds in Chicago. The storm may have been a pre BS-21. Natural disaster instead of terrorist.

When our kids are home they push all our buttons to the point of irritation. When they leave on such a honorable journey we realize just how much we miss them. I now realize, personally, that I needed this time of no contact to truly appreciate my daughter. I will never again take her for granted and all those little things about her that make me want to scream will now make me smile.

Holly- I guess I'm a fellow nerd because his little sister is using his cell phone while he is in bootcamp and she hasn't changed his voice mail on it. I get teared up too just listening to his voice. We do get atleast on more phone call after BS 21.

Thanks for the idea ladies.. My recruit is heading to Florida and so I have just wrote her asking what she would like in her "Florida or Bust Beach Bag". Might encourage her to move forward towards the Florida sun. :O) Thanks again ladies for your input..

thank you Kelly. I called his recruiter today and he told me that he is not sure about grad and go and can not find out. Hopefully we will hear something soon. I appreciate it. Alex is going to A school in Texas, where is Javaun going?

It looks like division 369 has found out if they are grad and go or not. Has anyone heard from their family member if they are grad and go?? I am trying to plan how long I will be staying in Great lakes. Thank you all so much
