Just found out that unless they will grandfather my son in he won't be an AO. He processed in Jan and the change occured in May. They changed the vision requirements. I hope and pray that they will do this. He is so bummed about it. They offered him a warehouse job, grocery clerk or a grunt job( which is basicly a gopher) He took the grunt possition. He said if he wanted to work in the grocery store, he would have stayed at Foodlion. They are supposidly are going to show him other jobs and in 8 months he can be reasigned to what they have shown him. I thought that if he had to uphold the contract that was signed then so should the Navy. Bad thing is I won't know any more until next Thursday at the earliest. I HATE NO PHONE CALLS!!!!

The ribbons can be worn to meet and greet or PIR or both. They are a great way to show your pride for your sailor and a great way to recognize other members from N4Ms.If you would like more info or to order just click on my name and send me a friend request. :-)

@ladypinkhatter I'm glad you mentioned him to her. I've written to him and told him to ask around and get the other moms to come online too. His letters don't give much info, just talking about his dog and girlfriend!?!? I sent him a few questionaires last week, maybe I'll get more details this week!

Kelly- here are the pics of the ribbons you wanted me to show you. I don't use the grosgrain very much anymore because the letter stick to the satin better. You can get gold or silver letters on any color ribbon. Thanks

Okay, now that makes sense. My Recruit was in the school choir for many years and her recruiter was telling her she would be asked upon entry to Great Lakes, if she wanted to be in the specials division. She choose before getting there that she didn't want to because fo the time factor.

what is the 800/900 division?
Comment by ladypinkhatter on October 17, 2010 at 10:27am
Dee- each division (except the 800 and 900) have brother divisions...they train, eat, study, everything but sleep together and they'll go through BS21 together. I believe that all divisions on Ship 11 will graduate together.
