Floss89- LaLa is the ribbon lady. She makes ribbons with our recruits name and division number on them. If you go into PIR 11/12/10 group and go back a couple of pages you will see some of the ribbons that she makes. You can then friend invite her and put ribbons in the subject and she will e-mail you back the ordering information.

Letzfly- you were missed and glad you are back!

KellyMetz- hang in there.

I will be at the PIR as well. We are making reservations this week so I'm not sure where we are staying. We are getting there on Thursday by 5 or 6 so I will be able to attend.
What is LaLa and where do I go to order?

I finally got a few minutes to catch up on here. We've been out of town and I hate missing my N4M time! We got letters Thursday before we left town. He sounded wonderful! He wrote his little sister and apologized for being too overprotective and mean to her! Never thought I'd hear that! He said it can be difficult at times but when he sees himself in the mirror, wearing his uniform, he feels extremely proud and knows he made the right decision. Whew!
I'm not sure if we'll be at the meet & greet, we arrive Wednesday but might stay with my family in Indiana. I can't wait to get home Thursday and see if we have any more letters! He said he spent 2 days in bed with the crud. Hopefully that has run it's course and they're staying well.

Holly- thank you for being our "eyes and ears" in the PIR group. Every time I go into that group, I am reading pages and pages just trying to catch up; 7pm sounds fine to me. Also, remember that if we all order ribbons from LaLa, it will be easier to find each other.

Dee- welcome. This website and group of women are awesome! I am glad that you have found this website and group. They have been my "saving grace" throughout this process.

Boy do I wish I found this group earlier! Would have helped the first two weeks! Okay, so Ladypink, no your daughter is not the only girl. LOL.. My daughter told me on the Wed. phone call that there "is a bunch of girls", the oldest is 31 and a body builder. She said all the girls seem friendly. Her bunkmate is "a short girl" and I only got that from her conversation about why she had taken the top bunk, which she fell out of on the first night! My daughter also thinks the food is great and she likes the ice cream treats. I just hope they finally started getting THEIR mail.

wow 17 letters. I got 2. One was 6 pages and the other was 3. I agree with that it depends on the childs personality. My son is quiet and reserved. I can't believe they make them iron their socks! LOL I thought only Martha Stewart did that. I love compairing notes on this site. I get a more rounded idea of what is going on in boot camp. Thanks all of you. My son has an extra phone card and plenty of stamps to share. I know he has shared his phone card and would again if any one asked.
