ladypinkhatter- is your daughter the only girl in their division? My son befriended one of the girls and I was curious if she was your daughter. My said just the oppisite on the food. And he's not picky. Althought I did get the "what did I get my self into" message.
kellymetz- did your son have a phone card with him?

Kelly, I am so sorry you have not heard anything yet. I remember the feeling so well. I am sure you will hear something very soon. Sometimes mail takes a little while depending on where you live, so dont give up hope that you will receive a letter this week or weekend.

Thanks Holly. You truly encourage me. I sometimes wonder if things she's going through just her or is it because she's a girl. I don't know how you know sometimes, but you just have the gift of saying the most comforting things.

Yep, I got two letters! Of course they were "I want to come home" letters but the food is great...lol...and for a picky eater like her, their food must be good!

Okay, updated letter to his girlfriend says his bunkmate is now from California? Not sure what happened to the bunkmate from New York!
@ladypinkhatter - I also do not know what the "brother division" is exactly? Good question! I live in Indiana so if you did not get mail today, it's coming!

Lonnie'sMom- that's great! Yeahhh, mail...I too can't wait to go home and check the mail. My daughter said they all wrote letters but I didn't think it would come this soon :-)

Can someone explain to me the "brother division" connection?? I am sorry to sound so uninformed.

Floss89- thanks.

AO is Aviation Ordiancemen, basicly they handle and load the bombs on the plane. I can't wait to get home to check the mail!

Good news ladies, I got letters today!! His bunkmate is from New York. His job in boot camp is Head of Religious Affairs. Says things are getting better and he has lost weight and is really homesick though. Sunday they had a Personnel and Rack inspection, which he passed. Finally, some communication, Yay:)
