Ok, so my daughter had overnight liberty all weekend as well...it was a blessing and a curse. It was a blessing because we got to spend time together and a curse because we didn't want to leave each other. We did get to spend some time together (just the two of us) last night. It was like old times and now I am an emotional mess and I believe she is too! She is still homesick and it seems the longer we stayed the harder it was on her :-(

I hope everyone had a great time with there Sailor! I know that I did.....

Hi Everyone. I hope we are going to keep this group going....but just in case we don't let me say THANK YOU to EVERYONE HERE!! You all have been my support for the last two months and hope you all stay in touch with me.

Floss, MomofbigA, Kelly, ProudMom, Diana952- sorry I missed you at the meet and greet and/or graduation.

Letzfly- sorry I missed you at the graduation but recognized you from your profile picture when you came in. BTW, our kids are friends on facebook. I couldn't get to you so I took some picture of you (if they came out..lol....no jokes Dee! :-))

Holly- thank you for the beautiful card. I will keep it on my mantle and look at it to inspire and encourage me on this journey. BTW, got lots of pics of you and your EX husband rocking the division tee-shirts at the graduation...lol....no jokes here either Dee! ;-))

LonniesMom- it was nice meeting and talking to you! You are too funny too! Thank you.

Jordan- you are beautiful girl. It was very nice meeting and talking to you too. Be blessed and happy always!

Dee- what can I say....talk to you later (by that I mean sooner than later...lol!) I have to say...I think of you and just start smiling and/or laughing. AND I couldn't get a decent picture of you because you don't stay STILL! You know I am not good at taking moving pictures! ;-)

Rebecca-Welcome! It was nice meeting and sitting with you at the graduation and my daughter had nothing but good things to say about your son. Keep in touch and I will send you those pictures via e-mail (if they came out good....not here either Dee..lol)

I hope that I didn't forget anybody, if I did, please forgive me...just got back from IL and I am between drop dead tired and emotional overload!

So question is.. are you keeping this room going Holly or are we going in different directions but making sure we all did friend requests first?

sighs..this is brutal.. I don't think I will ever get used to the returning and leaving and returning, just to leave again.... of any of my three kids! but she just called and boarding for A school/was a connecting flight and sounded good and bubbly. Me, I'm still staying strong but this hand down is the ROUGHEST part for me.

Well this place is going to get mighty quiet if hasn't already... Sooo I could talk to myself for a while.. I could make breakfast for the boys... I could finish packing. Nope! Dunkin Donuts coffee and manicure. Yep! Sounds perfect! I wish everyone, although no one will be reading this... safe travels to Chicago. THE WEATHER IS ABSOULTELY GORGEOUS! and that makes me so happy because it makes all so special for ALL the families. It has been SUCH a journey, a journey a year ago I never thought I or my daugther would be taking. This has changed my outlook on my governemnt, my military and all the people, in all branches, who make this decision and the families that stand behind them.

One final thought.... while waiting to see my 17 years olds teacher for PT conference yesterday night; guess the school actually thinks those make a difference.. A senior boy, very straight laced good student looking, was talking very qietely to his mom (but they were right next to me) about wanting to be a Marine. This mother was nothing but negative about it and all her comments were not justifiable. I kept my mouth shut.. hard to do knowing what I know. So I said a silent prayer right there in the too small desk. "Please God, give her patience, give her courage, and let her see that it's not about her anymore but about her child who from everything I'm hearing and the reasons he is giving her will make a GREAT and ADMIRABLE Marine". Amen...

Get the tissue ready, the bags to the door.. this proud momma is ready to GO... with a pretty new french manicure and credit card in hand!

letz: DOPE YOURSELF UP AND GET OVER HERE!!!!! WE NEED A REAL GROUP HUG...
