From PA navy moms: PRAYERS NEEDED!
Hi! Just wondering how everyone is doing? Are all your Sailors settled at Aschool? My son is settled and awaiting his class-up next Friday- He is ready and rarin to go!
Hope you are all well and enjoying the extra communication from them now that they are out of RTC.
Sandy- I was thinking of you today- We are at 102 degrees and our heat index is around 112. I have not been that hot since I was at the Riverwalk in San Antonio- I don't know how you do it!
Hi all. SailormomLisa, I'm so glad you enjoyed the meet and greet as well as your husband. It was great meeting everyone that night. I've heard from Jay a couple of times. He's at DLI in Monterey Cali, and usually calls me at work during his lunch break in Cali. He is super excited about it. He was told that the next iteration for his Language class doesn't start til 22 Sept, so surprisingly enough the Navy offered him to take summer college courses until his class starts!! It was so amazing cause we actually laughed at the fact that he is actually getting a paycheck to go to school, hahahaha, just unbelievable. And to boot, the curriculum at DLI Monterey will actually give him an Associates degree upon graduation if he completes the college courses he needs. He would actually graduate with a degree in his Language of study upon completing the other college courses needed like the maths and the English classes. Jay just couldn't be happier with his decision at this time. As a mom I'm just so happy and proud of him, couldn't be more proud and happy at this time. I'm also jealoud cause the weather in Monterey is beautiful while we are burning here with triple digit heat!
Anyway, I'm soooo glad basic is over and all our sailors are at A school excited about learning their job skill and just excited about military life :-)
Hello all, I've been meaning to get on here and say hi. We got back this morning at 2am (Wednesday). Due to the storms our plane was delayed about 1 1/2 hrs, missed our connection...but we made it home :-)
Anyway, I LOVED meeting all of you lovely ladies! My husband was really impressed with the Meet & Greet too. I honestly had a hard time talking him into going but he ended up really enjoying himself. It was so wonderful getting to see our son graduate and we got him Friday, Saturday and Sunday. That was a surprise blessing!!
If any of you got a good photo of our group at the meet and greet, would you mind sending it to me?? I'd really appreciate it. Send me a message on N4M and I'll send you my email, thanks so much!!
