I got a short letter! He sent his on Thursday (that's new) and said that they had Live Fire last Friday and Monday (today). After that comes Firefighting and the Gas Chamber this week. He said the week after that is Battlestations but didn't give a date.  Also said that they were waking last week at 0400...they must be exhausted. He sounded good though and said the Division was doing well!!  I hope everyone gets a letter!

J told me when he called on Friday that they can mail out letters more often than just Sundays now and that he sent one on Thursday.  Patiently waiting for the mailman to come!

We'll be in Chicago the 6th-12th also but flying into Midway and at the Courtyard Marriott the 7th-9th. I'm so looking forward to meeting everyone!

This has been a ROUGH weekend though! I think the reality that we'll have such a short period with my son and then it's off to A School...then who knows where??... for how long??... I guess it's just hitting me. Maybe I was in some euphoric cloud and now reality is setting in. I'm still so excited to see him of course, just have to find a new balance...letting go but holding him close in my heart and prayers, the letting go is the hard part!

SailorMomLisa: yes, we are. They are flying from Philippines to O'hare on the 6th-12th we would be in Chicago. They plan to visit relatives there as well. I had to go back the 11th because I have jury duty the day after..

Patience is waiting. Not passively waiting - that is laziness. But to keep going when the going is hard and slow - that is patience.
