SailorMomLisa: yes, it really is an emtional rollercoaster! Yesterday morning I was on cloud nine, getting a bunch of letters!  In the afternoon, I was bummed, thinking it'd be another week before I got more letters.  This morning, excited expecting a call, then after I got it, worried, depressed and just missing my son!  My oh My!  Thank you for the prayers.  I also pray for all families and recruits in this group...I know we all need it badly.

Willsomom: I'll pray for your son, I hope his foot gets better. It's so hard to hear that sort of thing and not be effected. I'm praying for my son, yours and all the kids in the division. Wow, what an emotional roller coaster this is!!!!!!!

just got a call!  He sounds so down...said 10 have 'dropped out'.  Does that mean they've gotten a dishonorable d/c?  How do you drop out???  He said his foot is numb, swollen and painful-for over a week, but afraid to go on sick call for fear of being held back.  My oh my...it is so difficult to be encouraging and upbeat when all you want to say is "come home"!  He also said, as did Tickled that they start out with 60 minutes for a call and lose minutes with 'bad behavior'.  He had 4 minutes...:(   Just don't know what to think at this point...except, I know tomorrow is a different day...

NYRican-We are staying at the Navy Lodge, too!  Btw, my son calls yours Jay!  I like Julian better, though!  :)  Hope you get a call today!

No letters at all. Tomorrow is another day (well it's 1:40am, so it's next day already). I imagine I will get a call if his division hasn't lost their calling privileges. Julian has the worst handwriting ever, so that might be a reason I haven't gotten a letter, his handwriting just hasn't met the standard. I did manage to make reservations at the Navy lodge, you can't beat $65.00 a day, especially for a room with kitchenette! YEH!
