Lisa- no problem!  I figured it would help a little to get a little info about what it's like if they haven't gotten letters yet or if their letters didn't have that info.  He is probably talking about your SR then if yours is from SD too :)

Willsmom- yay!!!  Wow your SR sure did sacrifice some time to write you so many!  I know what you'll be busy doing for awhile! :)

Yay Tickled Tink! Two letters, that means that we should all start getting ours :-) Thanks for sharing, sounds like he misses you greatly! It's hard when they sound a little down, but they're having some good experiences too. The separation will make reuniting that much sweeter.  I think my son is one of the SD SR's he was talking about! My son is going to A School in GL. I agree with you that staying through Sunday night seems like the best idea. We (SR, husband, daughter & myself) are hoping to see a little of Chicago while we're there.

I got 2 letters!!  One from Sunday, the other from Monday!

He sounded pretty down in the first one, but he is excited about his A school being in San Antonio.  In the second one, he sounded more upbeat and cracked some jokes.  I'm going to post a few tidbits in a discussion real quick

Gosh I'm so excited. Today I got a msg from another mom who had gotten a call from her son and her son actually mentioned my boy and said that my boy was doing fine. I feel like hearing someone else say that he is fine affirms my sons statement since my son could just be saying everything is fine just to have me not worry. Just hearing someone else hear about my son is the next best thing to hearing from him myself, so yes, I'm pretty happy today :)

Thanks for the msg momma.

I've heard of SRs not leaving until Sunday, so it's certainly possible!  And like you said, you could always sight see otherwise.  I was planning on doing that myself, I figured I might as well really get my money's worth out of the trip and do something fun with my time instead of wallowing...so maybe we can do it together?

I made reservations at the Navy Lodge for the 7th thru the 10th, just in case he gets some time with us, although I have heard that those going to Monterrey are usually grad and go.  Better safe than sorry, I suppose.  If he leaves, we'll just site see without him, if I am able to see any sites at that point thru the blur.  :(
