I got two letters, mailed Tues 5/31, received in San Diego Thurs 6/2 written with RTC paper and envelopes. Letter 1, 5/29: - "Things are hard here, I'm not gonna lie. Every day is a 16 hr day and…Continue

Thanks Willsmom for the info. It's comforting to hear that your son sounded good and that they sent out their letters. Just made hotel reservations today for PIR. Haven't decided if we're staying Sunday night. I have no idea how long we'll get to see our son before A School. Pretty sure Sundays it...if we're that lucky.
tickled: sent you a message in fb.
Rackie- I don't know yet. If I wanted to, I'm far enough along now that I could go to a 3D place and find out for about $50. I'm dying to know! But I wrote hubby to see if he wants to go to one with me while I'm there for PIR. If he wants to find out with me, I want to do that for him, because he is missing so much, even though it'd be so hard to wait! He is also going to be an HM so going to San Antonio, too. They won't be doing it in GL at all anymore. It kinda sucks, because I wanted to see him all weekend after PIR, and I was actually just in San Antonio for 2 weeks visiting friends! If I'd had known before, I would've just delayed my visit until he was there and killed 2 birds with one stone!
Willsmom- Thanks! Yes it's our first. We had been kinda ready for the last year, and had decided together that we would start trying after he swore in at MEPS and we knew when he'd be leaving for BC. So February 2nd, it finally happened (He had taken the ASVAB a year before that) and then March 16th I found out I was pregnant!
Thanks, Rackie. Tickled - is this your first baby?
Tickled: WOW! baby on the way! So happy for you! Would you know if it's a boy or girl? Or is it too early to tell. You got a lot in your plate. Hang in there, it will all fall into place. Joel is going to San Antonio, Texas for HM A-school. How about your DH?
Willsmom: no letter here yet either.. From what I've heard before, it usually takes about 4-5 days for their letters to get home. Maybe tomorrow? Hang in there my dear!
Tickled-congratulations on your pregnancy!
I'm so bummed about no letter today! My son told me Saturday when he called that they would be allowed to mail their letters Sunday. I know Monday was a holiday, but surely three days ought to be long enough for a letter to get to Alabama from Illinois????
