I got two letters, mailed Tues 5/31, received in San Diego Thurs 6/2 written with RTC paper and envelopes. Letter 1, 5/29: - "Things are hard here, I'm not gonna lie. Every day is a 16 hr day and…Continue

Tickled: Sorry to hear about your rough day. Very exciting though that you're expecting. When are you due?
I haven't rec'd any mail either except for the form letter. My son did say he sent one awhile ago though...it has me wondering.
Hi
@navymommo, that is so funny and sweet of your mailman, just makes me smile, hahaha.
@Tickled; I'm so sorry. The most important thing, though it is easier said than done, is not to stress, especially due to your condition. Take care of you and baby and think happy thought's. Wow, all that sounds tough, but don't be mad at yourself. As for the DEERS thing, issues there are pretty common, but like you said there are alot of helpful people at the TRICARE offices etc... Take care, and just so hoping to meet everyone at the meet and greet :)
navymommo- I tried to reply to your personal message, but when I click "send" nothing happens :(
Yeah I told AT&T that he is in boot camp and that is why I am able to use his phone, and that that is why I'm so sad that I lost mine because it has pics of him on it from his birthday and stuff, and the sweet texts he sent me the day he was leaving. The last time I synced it was in December! Ugh so mad at myself!
But yeah, no dice, they just gave me a new sim card for my line and put it in his phone.
I am so sorry you have had a streak of unluck! Tomorrow will be so much better! Two suggestions- Take care of yourself- so happy for your upcoming baby, but make sure to get loads of rest and eat well. For the phone-when you get your phone replaced, take one of those free address labels that you get in the mail and put it on the back of the phone. I have had two phones returned to me because people could find me. Hope this works.
and YES! the mailman was really understanding and almost apologetic that there was no mail from my SR today. Maybe tomorrow!
Wow that's really nice of the mailman! Yeah I did end up getting the form letter, the day after I mailed the first letter. He is probably sitting there wondering why he hasn't gotten one from me yet though :(
Then today I called to make sure I am in DEERS to get my ID and set up w/ Tricare. I really need to continue with my prenatal care, it's been over a month since my last appt since our old insurance stopped because he left his job to enlist.
Well, I wasn't in the system! And when she tried to put me in, she couldn't. A lot of helpful people at Balboa had a hard time figuring out how to help me since it's not common for recruits to be married let alone not have enrolled their depedants during P days.
THANKFULLY I have Power of Attorney, so I will be able to get myself all enrolled acting as him. I am going in bright and early tomorrow to do it all since I'll have to be walk in- first come, first served.
Rackie- I hope you don't have the same problem!
And then to top it all off, I stopped at the mall to get the dress I wanted to wear for PIR and I forgot my phone in the bathroom (didn't want it to fall out of my back pocket) and when I went back for it, someone had stolen it and turned it off. Ugh when it rains, it pours!
