For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Welcome Linda 23! Glad you found us here. Are you attending the Meet & Greet? This is scheduled on Thursday July 7th at Ramada Hotel.
The BS21 schedule: Tues, Jul 5th/Wed, Jul 6th: Div 223, 224, 934
Usually they call 2pm GL time. They get to call by div number I think. You didn't get the form letter? The form letter includes whose guest are invited and also .the password for you to get a gate pass (if you are bringing a car). It is against OPSEC to share this information, sorry. If you are taking shuttle/taxi from your hotel, you don't need to have a gate pass. Also bring necessary Identification cards, passports, if you are bringing kids, have a birth certificate handy as well. See you at PIR!! Look for diannep-veteran for more questions. She helps us newbies here a lot! You could post questions in the main forum as well.
