I have not received a phone call yet. I can't wait to see the first response on here for a call or letter so I know it's close. Has everyone checked out the site http://www.bootcamp.navy.mil/ ? It has some good information under the family tab. It specifically says "we should not be hanging out by the mailbox"....lol....Yea right. Have an awesome day!

His #1 Fan - I am missing my son so much, but I can only imagine how difficult this time is for you with it being your husband. Congratulations on your new life together and you must be so proud of him. Just remember, Oct 1 is just around the corner and then you will have more communication! :)

Patsmom - I just calculated out the time today when I was writing Michael another note. I I too cannot wait for a letter/call. Oct 1st cannot come quick enough either.

I sit by the mail box as well, and im jealous of those who have already received phone calls...haha I had reservations at the Ramada Inn, but changed to the Comfort Inn. And I am so ready to get to Great Lakes and see my husband, we have only been married a month when he left. So its very hard for me to be away from him, but im hanging in there.

How is everybody doing? We've made it 13 days! Hopefully we will get a letter from our SRs in a week or so. I watch for the mailperson each day. I'm like a child again anticipating Xmas morning and opening presents, but now it is anticipating a letter from Great Lakes -- except I can't sneak a peak. Oh well.
I have made our reservations at the Ramada Inn and the dogs/cats their "reservations" for the kennel. Hey, I'm ready to go.
Hope you all had a good weekend, Rebecca

Just curious to know if anyone is going to order the ribbons to wear at the PIR to show our support?

Welcome aboard Patsmom! I am so glad to see you joining our group! I was beginning to think that my son couldn't count because he said on his form letter that there were 75 guys in his division but we have so few in our group! lol And I am glad we could help you through the tough days!
