Welcome! Congratulations to her! Where will she be going the A school? Where are you from?
We're in Idaho Falls. She won't go to A School but will instead head to D.C. for 6-8 more weeks of intensive training to become a guardsman. She'll have a two year commitment for that and then will attend an A School of her choice after the two years are up.
just an update on your ribbon orders, most of the ribbons for your group are now finished and if you have not received them already they were were shipped today or will be shipped tomorrow and Wednesday morning. Your should all have them by this weekend. If you ordered and have not mailed your payment or paid through PayPal please contact me and let me know how you will be making your payment. It is not too late to make the payment and not to late to order ribbons. I hope you all have a great week. You don't have to wait much longer to see your Sailors and I know you are getting very excited :-)

Hello everyone!

We are from New Jersey and our oldest is in this ship/division.  We are looking forward to seeing him soon.  Had a 45 minute call from him on Friday;he kept asking what was new at home.  I think he is missing us.  Says everyone has been sick with some fever/cough/congestion.  He is starting to get better now.  Also says they all have blisters-I didn't know I could send him moleskin.  He will be going on to A school n Charleston,SC for Nukes.  Unfortunately will have a slight delay on that as he needs to have a hernia repair( called it boot camp hernia); they tell him he will have to stay for 6 weeks.  He is really bummed but very glad they allowed him to continue training and graduate on time.

My son-in-law had that same hernia, they didn't catch it at bootcamp and he kept putting it off during A-school. he finally had surgery about 3 weeks ago and is already back at his job with his command :-) So maybe he won't have to be there for the whole 6 weeks.
That's what he is hoping.  Unfortunately the delay makes him lose his spot in A school so he will have to wait for another opening,  He is really down about it.
That is a bummer. Hope he heals fast!
Hopefully it won't be too long of a wait. I hope it goes well and he heels quickly :-)
My daughter came home from school today with this.  Made me cry but we are all so proud of daddy!
That is precious! What a great way to honor her dad!
Just got a letter from my SR. Sounds like they are doing Battlestations tomorrow night. Those phone calls should start coming in on Friday!!!!!!!!!! He says he will talk to me then as a sailor!!!!!! Just one more week!
Got a letter from mine yesterday-gave the same impression.  Plan to be by the phone on Friday!
