Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Has anyone recieve the graduation information.
The recruiter said we will recieve a packet with all the information and hotels, etc.

hello baby girl   what type of info         I received info  with my form letter  the second week they were there  did they tell you anything else    I have resvertions at laquinta in Gurnee
We got the form that tells us who he has invited and when he graduates. But do we get any other information, like about parents day or anything?
not that i know of   we will have a meet and greet at the ramada inn  in Waukegan 6 to 8 on the 15  this is a time that we can meet each other and the RDC   but not our SRs not until the 16 when they walk in the room for PIR  then most of them if not all will have leave until about 9.00  most will leave early the next morning for the airport
What about liberty?

  most all will get liberty from the end of PIR till 9.00 pm when they must be in there room  you can meet them at the airport in the AM at the USO office from what i understand at ohara it is before security and you can spend time with them there    you can bring them cell phone camera readers and computers  Lap top anything they can put in a back pack and they can take them to their school    you SR will know what they can have they cannot bring it back to the base on friday night     They have to stay in uniform which will be dress whites  but you may want to bring them something to put on in your hotel room to rest in they will be very tired and will most likely want some junk food.    I am bringing some special stuff that My SR likes that i may not be able to buy in GL   like cherry colk mountian dew red    
Just plan to do what ever your SR wants to do those few hours he will have PIR is over about 1030 so you will have till about 8.30 with them   hope this helps  I will be glad to help any way i can  just be prepared to follow your
