OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Robsproudmom: how much do I owe you for the bracelets?

KylesMom: I am so sorry to hear that. I'm not sure what I would do if I got a call like that. Be strong. My heart, and thoughts are with you and your son. He'll get their and be a sailor. Everything happens for a reason whether we know the reason or not. I second tmasters! She said it all too well! Please do keep us posted on him. Hugs!

KylesMom, I am so sorry. My heart goes out to you and your son. He will be a Sailor though...it will just take a little longer. Big hugs to you and your family and please keep us posted on how he is doing.

Oh Kyles Mom. My heart breaks for you and your son. I will keep you and your family in my prayers. I know that he will pass and go on to be a great sailor. Please keep in touch with this group and let us know how he does. We will still be here for you. Sending you a great big hug!

Carolinagirl125: http://www.navyformoms.com/events/meet-and-greet-for-pir-712010 I don't think its mandatory, not alot of names on the list. Besides all of those families that aren't on this site will probably be told about it when they check into their hotels...

MomSR: Even better!

Screen name and ship/division in big letters might help narrow it down even faster! I have seen a lot of proudmom's on these sites, so maybe this way their is no confusion!!

I never sent an RSVP for M&G. Can you give me that link again. Is it necessary to RSVP?

Good idea Docsangel.

Ladies, I've been thinking about this (instead of obsessing about BS21) If they have name tags at the M&G, should we put our screen name as well as our name so we can find each other, you think??
