Checking on the seating. There is someone named Hoppi aka Angie on the 7/1 PIR group that is VERY informatiove and works up at GL...so I asked her/him and will let you know what the seating situation is.

I thought they did have seats sectioned of for each division? I read something about how you are placed in the area of your childs division..hmmm seach around and see if I read it or a wishful thought in my head.

I'm sorry that I'll have to miss you ladies at the meet an greet as we're not staying at a hotel that night, but driving in the wee hours of the morning. Wearing a distinguishing color or making some sign is a great idea because I think once we get on the grounds it's going to be nuts! It would be nice if they had the seats sectioned off for each ship/division.

Just wondering if our group of lovely ladies will be wearing something(ie: color scarves, or anything) to be able to find each other at the meet and greet on the 30th.

I got my call too. Yeah! He called 15 minutes before I was heading out the door. I was out front with my husband. My son called the house phone, my cell and then got us on my husbands cell. Two of my daughters were home and got to say hello too. We were all so surprised and excited! My son said the similar things, talked about how well they are all doing, good test scores, inspections, and a busy next week, etc. He sounded very mature. Even my girls said he sounds like him.... but different(grown up). He sounded very, very upbeat and proud!
Carolinagirl...I'm so sorry, but know they are all doing great. sending you hugs.
KylesMom, sending wellness wishes and prayers.

My call was great, also! Talked about how great the division is coming together and about possibly getting an extra day of liberty because of the holiday and his school not starting till that Wednesday. But he's not 100% sure about that. He still sounded a little bit sick but they're giving him meds to help. We're going to be doing a LOT of driving back and forth to get him back to base on time each night, but that's OK.
Carolinagirl...I'm so sorry you missed your call but I hope hearing from all the other moms that things are OK helps a little.
Fabnoble: we're praying right along with you.

Carolinagir, I am so sorry you missed your call. I was going outside to do some yard work and at the last second decided to bring my phone just in case. Never expected a call today. It sounds like the whole division is fantastic. Only two more weekends and we get to see them. Hang in there.
