Thanks for sharing the info tladams. At least I can get the scoop since I missed my call. I know they are going to love the pizza party. All my son talks about in his letters wanting "real" food.

Just got a call from my son...I hope all of you do too! He had been sick in bed for 4 days (with an IV) and wasnt able to write. Fortunatley he is still on schedule. He said they have a test on Tuesday. And he mentioned that they are a great division and that they get in less trouble than any of the other divisions. He will have liberty for the weekend after PIR (yeah!) and then be going to Pensacola. He said he has a list of food that he has been craving and wants me to bring it to the hotel for after graduation!

I just got a call! He sounds wonderful. He said next week is hell week...gas chamber and such, but he is looking forward to it. They got a call today because they did really good on a test. Their final PT test is 3 days before graduation, battle stations is 2 nights before graduation and then they are going to have a pizza party. He has a long list of things he wants to do during liberty. He's very excited.

proudmom2be09: I am going to try to go to the meet and greet in depends largely on my parents and the traveling schedule. My parents are coming along with me because they took care of my sailor along with me for the last 3 years. He lived with us and has become like a son to my dad and mom. :) they miss him a lot. My mom and I are driving and my father is flying in from down south becasue he'll be out of town before PIR. If we can make it I'll be there.

fabnoble- I think you can reach them through the American Red Cross but not certain how it works. All4Him- I would love to meet up! I will be in GL that whole week/weekend but staying at Super 8. I am meeting up with my sailor's family that Wed. before PIR and I'm not sure what exactly we will be doing. Are you going to the meet and greet at Ramada?

fabnoble...I think you can call his recruiter and he can call GL, talk to your son and pass the message to him. I hope everything is okay. :)

My son was a member of the NJROTC for six years so we've known for the past few years that this was what he wanted to do. I thought I was ready and it wouldn't be a big deal. Boy was I wrong!! I've never cried so much. Who would've thought 8 little weeks would last a lifetime. I can't wait for graduation!
