When is everyone meeting at the lodge for drinks after the meet and greet?- I would love to join and my mother who was like a mom to my sailor for the past two years asked if she could come to meet all of you lovely ladies. Proudmom2be09: would you like to meet being as we are the only two "spouses" that I know of for this division?

Docsangel have a great time..how fun to meet Carolinagirl :)
Ladies I sent my son more information about all of you and you sons jobs, etc. in the hope of figuring out who is who. As far as R the super funny guy, and H the super nice big guy :) and a few others. My son is small so 5'11" is big to him. My son is 5'8" very fit but a small guy :) He did make a remark in one of his letters about them being family. I think it's great! I have the blues on and off everyday. My son moved out about a year ago but them moved home for his last 6 months to be with his sister and us. I agree...it's not the same as when they move out or go to college. Not talking to them when you want is horrible. My son wrote in a letter yesterday that he didn't want to tell me he had been rushed to the doctor with 104.5 fever. His words were "probably shouldn't tell mom". Robsproudmom-sorry about the shin splints :( but a couple days rest will help. He is probably already done with bed rest and marching again ;) I am very thankful for all of you and am so glad are boys are connecting with each other.

Morning Ladies, I will be out of touch for a couple of days, I am off to take my daughter to camp. I'll get to spend the day at camp on Saturday to do the horse clinic with her (I also need the CEUs). So I'll miss you all. I am so excited I get to have dinner with Carolinagirl125!! Anyone else want to join us, you're only a few miles away right? It sure feels like you are all so close. I can't wait to hear all the news when I get back on Sunday!!

My mom got a letter today and he told her that he had to go to the doctors he had shin splints and had to rest for 2 days he also got hit with the flu and was going to take advantage of the 2 days rest they put him on .my mother also mentioned something about not being able to march i will have to investigate this now. I just hope this will not interfere with his PIR

Carolinagirl125: That's how I feel too, my son has not lived at home for a while but I always knew I could call him whenever I wanted to, and he called me. Having you moms sure makes the time go faster. Thanks for being here and for sharing your boys with us.

Carolinagirl125- he is so funny and kind hearted, Im sure is he is encouraging to the others, I hope he is an example to the others, even though he is one of the youngest. He is a section leader!

kylesmom, it's okay to have a down day. That mother instinct in us is so strong. We moved to FL from NC when my son was 17. When he turned 18, he moved back to NC and lived there until he was 22. I hated being so far from him but I could still talk to him whenever I wanted and if I needed to I could go to him. Not being able to pick up the phone and hear their voice and not being able to hop in the car and go to them when they are hurting is torture. I think they will be stronger because of this and we will too! We are past the half way mark now and it is only going to get easier. :-) Hang in there.

Hey ladies I got a letter today as well, my sailor speaks of being sick but that was last week. He was excited about his dress uniform:) He said rd c asked if any of them felt like they were in prison, he said he wanted to raise his hand but he knew prison was better then thisLOL. They seem to be doing better. Good news!
