Kylesmom - Your son sounds like a good person, a kind sould. I think a big part of their training is to become friends. I don't think the Navy would explain it that way. They are teaching them to trust others with their lives and to know that others are trusting them. I still believe that our sons are meeting people that they will remember for the rest of their lives. When you are isolated from the outside world and your family for such a long time, I think it is natural for them to begin to bond with others who are experiencing the same thing. I am so proud of all of them. I get teary eyed sometimes. Just remember, 3 weeks from today, we will be with them and I can't wait to seem them in their dress whites. You ladies are all so awesome. I'm so glad we can share this journey together.

Hi Ladies. Got my letter today too. Sounds so much better. A lot more upbeat. Complaining about the guys who keep messing up and getting them in trouble. Said the food is getting better or at least it has its moments. Tmasters - he told me that he and your son have gotten to be good friends. Wouldn't ya'll just love to be a fly on the wall and hear what they talk about?

tmasters: My sons name starts with an R and his recruiting office always said he would fit right in with the air rescue because he is a lot of jokes and laughs however he knows when he can be funny and not so I would bet it is probably my son. I can also assure everyone he is not one of the trouble makers cause he has complained as well. Well glad to hear there are high spirits there hoping for my letter soon ......

My son's last name starts with H, but I wouldn't say he is super big. 5'11" 190 lbs.
so it may not be him. He thinks he might be the youngest of the group. He's 18 until his bday mid July. I do think he is a super good guy though :-)

Hey ladies...my husband just read his letter few more names. What a funny letter too. High spirits...although nervous about upcoming tests. Anyway... One starts with R and apparently this is the funniest guy my son ever met. The other new name starts with H and my son said he is a super big guy and young...super good guy! Well I'm out for the next several hours....catch up with you ladies later.
