Anyone know of a really great place to eat at because my son has requested some real food .. We all like different types of food so maybe like a steak house or american type place

My son is not one of the oldest in the group but he is 24. And believe me, he has a heart the size of Texas, I am sure he is looking out for your younger ones. Having had a sister with a disability, and losing her has really made him aware of others that are struggling or just need a kind word. No doubt in my mind he'll do his best to bring 'em along.
At this point in their training they are undoubtedly already 'a family' and all looking out for one another. Chins up Moms!! Happy Sunday; 24 days and counting!!!

My son is 18 and graduated at 16 and has been away at school for two years but always with family, because he was so young. But I think he really feels alone too, he is the youngestest of seven and is very muc a "joy" to them all. All of the siblings are making plans to see "little brother" guaduate all will be there except the brother he is under, he is deployed June 23. Its hard but they will get thru- we will too! Love to you all!

I believe they are family. I think that is part of what they teach them teamwork, family, watching out for each other...along with weapons, chemicals and all that other intense stuff :)

Thanks for the video fabnoble. I love it. My son just turned 21 in BC. My oldest son is 25..he told me yesterday he has to prepare to read the letters because they make him cry. I snuck and read a couple letters my oldest son wrote to my BC son and they are so funny and sweet. Even though they are tough...there's lots of love in them :)

It will get better since they are past week three. A school we will all have alot more communication with them- they are not nearly as isolated. They are past the beating down part so now they will be built back up. I can't wait for gradaution!! at gradaution my sailor and I are talking wedding plans!! :) tmasters: I feel the same way- you ladies help so much and make me feel connected to my sailor. I felt very lonely before but not so lonely now with all of you lovely ladies...I look forwarding to meeting all of you!

I am so glad you ladies got your calls. I worry every day. I think it made it hard for us knowing and hearing how tired they are. Then with them being sick ( my son had been very sick) some having teeth pulled, etc. I feel like you ladies my only link to my son. I know the more seasons ladies said it gets better, but so far not for me. Maybe A school ;). My son also said they are yelled at a lot and it is hard. I think that is why in every letter he says..."I bit my lip a lot and stay quiet". I can't wait for graduation! 24 days 16 hours....yipeee!! Let's keep those good thoughts and prayer going for our guys.

Well ladies I got my call around 3pm today I was so excited to hear his voice. he sounded very tired I asked if he had the bug he said he thinks he may have a little but remembers me telling him when he had a fever to take a tepid shower. he said it seemed to work for him.haha..When is the meet and greet at the Ramada? I told him i have gotten in contact on here and that made him happy. Looking forward to meeting you all at the PIR . My son now doesn't know if he will be doing A school in GL they just informed him they may be moving the school to Texas for HM. So now I don't know whether he is a grad and stay or grad and go now. so bothersome. Anyhow I am just glad I will be happy to see him for no matter howlong. His sisters 5 and 9 were so happy to be able to talk to him today as well I think they too needed to hear his voice...
