Carolinagirl- thanks for the info, is your son in Pensacola?

Talked to my son last night. Nathan's mom - he was told at first that his A school wouldn't start until 7/18 and that he had to do "odd jobs" around the base until it started. I don't think that is unusual...it just makes it a little longer until they finish. I guess they have to wait until they have enough to make up a class.Fortunately, he starts class on Monday so if everything goes well, he will graduate on 9/3 and get to come home for 2 weeks before he goes to his first duty station. Got his address so I get to send his phone and laptop. Fabiana - I was in Pensacola last fall. It is a beautiful place with sugar white sand and beautiful green water, unfortunately, I think they are having oil wash up on the beaches. :-(. I know your son will love it there. It's also the home base of the Blue Angels. They are amazing to see perform. I'm glad to hear everyone is doing well. Hope you all have a great weekend.

Still enjoying reading all of your posts. And it sounds like most everyones son is doing well. An update on my son...though he is in boot camp AGAIN with Ceremonial Guard....he does get to call home most evenings! This helps a lot!

My son is still waiting for his bags to arrive, but last word was they are in Gulfport. I didn't get home in time to talk to him on facebook but his posts sound like he's in good spirits. Maybe I'll get to talk to him tomorrow. I mailed his phone today.
Hang in there i3randie, we're pulling for you and your brother.

Thanks ladies! I just spoke to him again and he sounded a little better than he did last night. He is going to be moving to the other side of the base on Monday or Tuesday and start training for a different job. He said one of his roommates made them fail their check this morning because he had a pack of mints in his night stand. So now they have to do 4 hours of PT tomorrow and have another room check. I really hate that things are so tough for him right now. I really think he misses GL and his RDC's! Who knew Pensacola would be so rough!

Docsangel that is wonderful. We haven't heard anything from our son since he arrived at the airport in TX. Waiting to hear from him so we can send his cell phone and laptop.

On another note, my grandsons are coming to visit next week. They will be here Thursday and go home on Saturday. Can't wait to see and hug them.
Already planning to have them down here when/if my son gets leave after A school. Would love to surprise him at the airport with his boys.
