From what my son told his girlfriend thay have to be back on base at 8pm. FYI: I've heard that there is a meet-n-greet for the parents on Wednesday night. Also some units are planning one after the graduation in the USO while they wait for their grads, (since some families can't make it the night before) we should think about planning that maybe.

Hi Ladies- So now that PIR is for sure 7/1. I can't believe I wasn't here to talk to my son. I shed a few tears when my husband told me. My son also left a message before he talk to my husband so I got to listen. He sounded good. Great news we can spend the weekend with them. So they have to go back to base every night? Do you know what time? I guess then it makes total sense to have a hotel close to base to get them in the morning and get them back at night.

Just got home to find my letter. My husband had a call today from our son. What a relief. Hated that I didn't get to talk to him but so glad he was able to call. Said he sounded good. So, the letter says PIR is 7/2 but my son said it was probably going to be 7/1. Haven't checked the PIR dates yet but I've seen a lot of comments about the difference in dates.

He is Adv computer elec field. His recruiter said that since he isnt shipping out to a different location that we should be able to spend the weekend with him but he has to be on base at night.

We got a call today too. I wasn't home but my husband got it. Same thing PIR is moved up to 7/2. He's doing well. Yeah, sounds like we have a great hard working division! Got my formal letter today too. :) Looking forward to meeting all of you.

I just spent a half an hour on the phone with my son's gf comiserating and whining. Two minutes after we hung up she called me back to say that the minute we hung up my son called her!!!! She said he sounds really good and said that his group is really doing good, alot of good guys and that they are ahead of schedule!! "Tell mom I love her and I'm OK" was the last thing he said to her. I can't breathe.........but I'm smiling!!!
