My son just called from the airport. He's been there since 3:00 a.m. and his flight to Gulfport leaves at 12:30. He should arrive at about 4:00 this afternoon. He said there's a military lounge at the airport where he's been able to get on the internet for free and also been able to nap a little. He's super excited. =)

fabnoble-My son did say he met you and told me you said hi. Sorry I forgot to mention that before. Thanks, I think he's wonderful too! I'm not sure when they can start using their cell phones and laptops. I think as soon as they move into their new racks and we get the stuff to them. Communications will be a LOT easier then! Can't wait.

I changed my profile picture...so dont be fooled! So glad to meet a few of you at graduation. We dropped off our Sailor last evening and headed home. Does this ever get easier? Guess we just need to get used to it. Thanks for making the last 7 weeks more bearable. God Bless all of you and your sons! Unless things change between now and tomorrow, my son will be joining Robsproudmom's son at CG boot camp in DC. Another 6-8 wks for us!

My Sailor leaves for S. Carolina in the morning. He goes to A school and Nuke school there. Im glad he will be closer to home there. He seemed to be a comedian in BC, his nickname was "Chris Breezy" Wow!

Yes Kimberly, like mamacharlie said..Thanks for the gift. My son flys out tomorrow to Gulfport and won't start training until the 18th. It will be interesting to see where everyone will go after A school. And congratulations on your sons proposal! I wish him all the best!

Good night,
Tracey

Well, I guess my username kind of gave my first name away....no surprise there!
Best wishes to all the sailors and their families. My son said that at the beginning of A school they have to give them a "wish" list of the top 3 bases they'd like to be stationed at after school. Although, there's no guarantee that they'll get one of them. Now we have the next thing to worry about!!!!! :)

Teresa - "This much" apparently is because your son would tell them.."I don't care!" and then he would say...."well....I care this much" and would show them with his hands. So they started calling him this much :). I am filled with lots of cute and funny stories.
Yes, thank you RDC's my son spoke very highly of them and favored a particular one :)
My son moves to A School tomorrow and also does odd jobs until the 20th. He will stay in GL and apparently with several of the guys. I agree I met nothing but wonderful gentlemen over the weekend. Hugs to all.
