tmasters - thanks for the updates on the nicknames. I know that my son called yours "Boots" but he left out his nickname. I wonder what it means? or maybe I don't want to know. He is supposed to leave GL in the morning for San Antonio. Doesn't start school until the 18th so he said he has to do odd jobs around the base until then. I hate to hear that about the RDC but I will keep him in my prayers. I owe all the RDCs and the Chief a big thanks. I could not believe the difference in my son. I didn't know any of the other guys before but I can say that any of them we met or ran into were gentleman. You all should feel proud.

You ladies are so sweet, you owe me nothing but to keep a good eye on your boys. It is thanks enough that you raised boys to be the men that they are that they are willing to keep our country safe. I love you all and I could have NEVER made it without each and ever one of you.
It's good to have all of you back on here, it's been lonely, we flew out Friday and it's been a LONG weekend.
My SAILOR will be staying at GL for A school.
Oh and the big news: HE PROPOSED!!!

Good morning ladies- I just got caught up on the I'm a Sailor posts and PIR posts. Fabnoble I wish I met you. I think I know who you are though. The cute little gal with the highlights/long hair ? :) Thank you for asking about my son..you are so sweet. I am glad to of met some of you. I had such a wonderful time! I just can't get over how much my son has changed. My son told me many stories of your boys and also some of our guys have nick-names for each other...too funny. My son's name is "boots". Carolinagirl...your son's is "this much"...haha...the guys are so funny and have really bonded. My son spoke very highly of the div. I met many of them. Wish I met more of you. Yesterday sure was tough..although I cried my eyes out the night before knowing what was coming and hoping I would be out of tears come Monday. Since my son is staying for A school we found school, and where he will be living, etc. I know some of our boys will be together...yay! Thank you all for being so supportive and helping me through some of the toughest days of my life. I couldn't of done this without you all! My girls love the bracelets and t's, etc. Hugs to all of you. It feels so strange to be back home. I am so thankful to have seen and know where my son has been living and will stay. Please keep in touch. :)

What a wonderful weekend! We enjoyed our time so much, but it went by so quickly. It was so hard to pull away from that base yesterday knowing that he still had time. It was so nice to meet some of you and put a face with a name. I can't wait until my son gets to Gulfport and has phone privileges again. Thank you again to all of you for helping me get through this boot camp experience!
