My son's PIR is 10/31/14. Would love to chat with other moms that have kids in Div 821.

Tasha, You are so lucky your husband writes so many letters!! I know my son is not a big communicator and I just hope and pray that I get a few more letters!!! I wish he would write in the dark as well, ha ha!!
At least I can come on here and find things out from you and the other moms/wives that have received some letters already. Thank you for sharing.
How are everyone's hotel plans coming along?

Yipee!! More letters today! Praying all goes well at testing and we get that phone call, Sunday!

Calls on Sunday? Excellent news! We too, have rec'd a couple letters today. Said he's been learning how to fold and stow (clothing),march properly and studying for tests. The letters sound like they were written by a man and not the boy that left my house only 3 wks ago. Really just amazes me at the transformation. My only sadness, is finding out that yesterday he had a un-erupted permanent molar tooth pulled. We've spent over 6K in orthodontia only to have teeth pulled now? Ah well, he can always have an implant put in later on I guess.

most of the trouble they are getting into is from talking when they are not supposed to like during chow. That must really suck!

I really hope they don't strike at all, and if they do I PRAY its not until december or January. That would just blow if a week or two before PIR they strike. Thanks for the link though, I will read it right after this. Sarah, did you receive letters from your hubby? Mines said that there only a few guys that are married in his div. So he must know yours :) I hope they're getting along great! I got a TON of letters today. Took me an hour to read through them all. He learned how to write in the dark I guess because thats when he wrote must of them during Tap. He said they've been getting into a lot of trouble and have been paying for it all through push ups and sit ups and more. Poor guys! Maybe thats why it's taking them a while to call home! They get their first testing tomorrow, I'm praying they all do good! 36 more days ladies!!

Received another letter today (8-25-10) which was dated 8-22-10 by my son! Sure sounds good. I love reading about the happenings they have going on. Says that they have two inspections coming up on Wednesday and if it goes okay they could get an hour phone call on Sunday... is this psych for them or us???

Wow! 6 letters in 1 day? That is amazing. I got one short letter on Monday and was so excited, I can't imagine if I got 6 of them. Enjoy reading!! I can't wait to get another one.The letter I got was written on his 3rd day there, so they really hadn't gotten into anything yet. I am anxious to see how he is doing now that is into the 3rd week. Congrats on all those letters! Hope your son is doing well.
